The Financial Planning
Association™ (FPA™) is a
National Organization with
Chapters located all over the
country. As each of us joins the
FPA™, we join at the National
level and automatically become a
member of our local Chapter. We
have one FPA of Georgia Chapter.
During the 2008 National FPA™
Leadership Conference, our FPA
of Georgia Chapter was
recognized as being a “Gold
Chapter”.
While this award is an honor,
the recognition is most
significant because of the
accomplishments that are
required to qualify for the
award. The National FPA™
sponsors the “Chapter
Recognition Program” which is a
comprehensive list of
requirements to qualify as a
Bronze, Silver, or Gold Chapter.
A lot of thought is put into
this list of requirements and
the goal is to measure the
“health” of a Chapter. It is an
accomplishment to qualify at all
levels, but Gold is an
indication that we are an active
chapter with strong membership
and outreach to both our
profession and the public in
promoting the practice of
financial planning.
We value our members and
recognize that as a volunteer
organization it takes all of us
to stay vibrant and grow and
move our profession forward.
