About Us

The Financial Planning Association (FPA®) is a National Organization with nearly 30,000 financial planning members and 98 Chapters located across the country. As members join the FPA®, they join at the National level and automatically become a member of our local Chapter. The local Georgia Chapter has over 650 dedicated member professionals who serve consumers and their communities throughout the state. Visit our calendar where you can learn about the many outreach programs and events our members participate in throughout the year and join us, especially during Financial Literacy Month and Financial Planning Week.

The Georgia Chapter has consistently been selected and awarded “gold status” in the Road Map to Success program.  Georgia has held this status for several years and continues to strive for this chapter recognition award! Each year Chapters across the country participate in the National FPA® chapter recognition program, which was renamed in 2009 “Road Map to Success”.  The Road Map to Success program is based on basic standards that have been identified as benchmarks of successful chapters and with the Outstanding Achievement Award, showcases significant chapter activities that deserve recognition and are shared with other chapters.  The program is extensive and the criteria identified as “award worthy” is designed to measure the “health” of a Chapter. It is an accomplishment to qualify at all levels, starting from bronze, to silver, to the highest level which is gold status, with the Road Map to Success achievement award, it’s an indication that we are an active chapter with strong membership and outreach to both our profession and the public in promoting the practice of financial planning.

We value our members and recognize that as a volunteer organization it takes all of us to stay vibrant and grow and move our profession forward.
