America Saves Week

The Financial Planning Association of Georgia has partnered with the American Savings Education Council (ASEC) and the Employee Benefit Research Institute (EBRI) to promote America Saves Week scheduled:

February 21 – February 28, 2010

America Saves Week promotes a savings message to encourage individuals to take informed action to build wealth, not debt. The goal of the campaign is to join together thousands of employers, financial institutions, government leaders, nonprofit networks and other organizations to take a week to persuade tens of millions of Americans to save and build wealth more effectively. The "fiscal fitness" program will range from paying off high-cost debt, to ensuring adequate emergency savings, to accumulating home equity, to saving for retirement.

To support our efforts, many of our members are volunteering to participate in 2010 America Saves Week. Below are some of the ways we are celebrating this special week.  If you would like to have a speaker come to your organization to talk about this program, contact us.

To find out more about how you can individually participate go to www.AmericaSavesWeek.org.
